These are a great size of container. A bag of flour is around 11 cups, but I don't use these for flour. I use these for items that I buy in bulk. I have grits in one, and popcorn kernels in another. I have many of these, and this is my favorite size so far. They also stack great. I have a few different sizes for my pantry, so you can mix them up to fit the most amount of products in one place. At wal-mart, they have these for under 6 dollars, and the larger ones (16 c.) for about the same price.

I own just about every one of the lock and lock products made. These are the best you can buy. I make home made ice cream and freeze it in the lock and lock and a month later it is still as fresh as it was the day I put it in the freezer. I store bread in the lock and lock and you can keep it for a week and it is still fresh. It saves you money because you are not throwing away a half a loaf a week because it has gotten to old. I will purchase more to freeze fish and meat in. They work excellent.
